Redcastle is six miles from the thriving market town of Castle
Douglas where there is a Tourist Information Centre,
theatre, town loch and
a variety of individual shops.
Three miles in the opposite
direction you come to Dalbeattie with its lovely park, trampolines
and small pond with pedaloes. Dalbeattie is on the edge of
the forest with numerous walks and cycle tracks.
Dumfries
is the nearest large town situated on the River Nith, about
16 miles away.
We are two miles south of the A75 which links to Carlisle…M6…and
the ferry terminal at Stranraer. Glasgow and Edinburgh are 98 miles away. |
